Simulation of Monte Carlo in Risk Analysis

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je porovnání výsledků rizikové analýzy v současném stavu a výsledkůrizikové analýzy získaných prostřednictvím simulace Monte Carlo a současně vytvořeníprvotního návrhu rámce pro řízení rizika, specificky pro fázi rizikové analýzy, v bankovnímsektoru. Pro naplnění cíle byla převzata současná podoba rizikové analýzy z projektu Office365, která je situována v cloudovém prostředí. Autorka práce se zaměřuje na prohloubení aúpravu již vypracované rizikové analýzy. Na základě kritického zhodnocení současného stavuje vytvořen nový rámec pro řízení rizik pomocí simulace Monte Carlo. Nově jsou vstupnímifaktory preventivní opatření s rizikem neúčinnosti, preventivní opatření bez rizika neúčinnostia korelace. Korelace je vložená pomocí korelačního koeficientu. Cíl práce se podařilo naplnit avytvořit rámec pro řízení rizik, který byl validován specialistou v daném oboru.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to compare the results of the risk analysis in the current state and theresults of the risk analysis obtained through the Monte Carlo simulation. In addition, at the sametime to create the initial risk management framework, specifically for the risk analysis phase inthe banking sector. To fulfil the objective, the current form of risk analysis from the Office 365project, which is located in a cloud environment, has been adopted. The author of the thesisfocuses on deepening and adjusting the already prepared risk analysis. Based on a criticalassessment of the current situation, a new risk management framework is created using byMonte Carlo simulation. New input factors are preventive measures with the risk ofineffectiveness, preventive measures without risk of ineffectiveness and correlation. Thecorrelation is inserted using the correlation coefficient. The aim of the work was to fulfil andcreate a framework for risk management, which was validated by a risk- specialist.For further research, the author recommends focusing on reducing subjectivity and creating alonger time frame.
