Soudní rozhodnutí jsou nositeli daleko širšího významu, než se v minulosti pedpokládalo. S uvdomním si jejich pravého významu roste význam jejich široké a systematické publikace. Dnes jsou soudní rozhodnutí pístupná ve zdrojích oficiálních, na nž by mly být kladeny nároky pedevším, ale i ve zdrojích publikovaných soukromými nakladatelstvími.
