Genetic and epigenetic factors of infertility in humans

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje aktuálnímu tématu - poruchám plodnosti u lidí. V první časti práce jsou shrnuty současné poznatky o častých i vzácných genových mutacích, které způsobují závažné gynekologické problémy u žen a narušují spermatogenezi u mužů. Druhá část se soustředí na popis aktuálních poznatků v oblasti epigenetických modifikací a jejich vlivu na gametogenezi, genový imprinting a časnou embryogenezi. Poslední kapitoly jsou věnované představení metod detekce epigenetických změn v gametách a popisu účinných metod léčby neplodnosti, které jsou způsobené patologickými genetickými a epigenetickými procesy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is devoted to factors of infertility in humans. The first part of the thesis summarizes the knowledge about both common and rare gene mutations that cause serious gynaecological problems in women and disrupt spermatogenesis in men. The second part of the thesis focuses on the description of the current knowledge in the field of epigenetic modifications and their influence on gametogenesis, gene imprinting and early embryogenesis. The last chapters are devoted to the introduction of methods for detection of epigenetic changes in gametes and description of effective methods of infertility treatment.
