Arno Geigers novel "Der alte König in seinem Exil"between consolation an a literary diagnosis of a difficult live period.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the Alzheimer’s disease from the point of view of literary adaptation. The thesis is focused on the various attitudes to this illness and clarifies the changes which are caused by this illness not only for the Alzheimer’s sufferer, but also for his/her immediate human relations. The role of this theme in literature is especially emphasized.
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá literárním zpracováním tématu Alzheimerovy choroby. Tato práce se zaměřuje se na různé přístupy k tomuto onemocnění a objasňuje změny, které tato nemoc přináší nejen pro nemocného, ale i pro jeho okolí. Důraz je kladen především na to, jakou roli může ve vztahu k tomuto tématu převzít literatura.
