The aim of the present diploma thesis is a genre analysis of the English versions of Czech theatres? websites. The thesis is divided into theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part presents an overview of the genre development with the focus on web genres as well as the methodology based primarily on Askehave and Nielsen?s genre model and Bhatia?s ?moves?. Cílem této diplomové práce je žánrová analýza anglických verzí stránek českých divadel. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a analytickou část. Teoretická část podává přehled o vývoji žánru s důrazem na žánry webové.
