The financial and Technical States of Community Schools in Myanmar and Thai-Myanmar Border

Abstract:

Community schools funded by the public are playing as a significant role of education in Myanmar. They are spread out of the country and borders, and thousands of students are depending on these schools. Monastic schools, public foundations, Christian mission schools (especially for special education), NGOs and other oversea organizations participated in these schools. However, the situations of the schools are vary and many schools have been suffering and trying to stand on the situations concerning with the politics, economics and sociocultural issues of the country. The inadequate supplies of the schools in finance and techniques impact on their services provided for the community’s educational needs. It is important to sustain and develop the community schools while the county is being tried to be stable in politics and economics, and the sector of education is being started to rebuild.
