Bohuslav Martinů: Repatriation of Remains as a Political Issue in the Normalization Era
Abstract:
Magisterská diplomová práce se především zaměřuje na převoz mrtvého těla skladatele Bohuslava Martinů 20 let po jeho smrti ze Švýcarska do rodné země. Tím dokládá, jaký vztah k němu měly tehdejší politické a hudební osobnosti a jak se během několika let změnil jeho status „zakázaného“ autora na velmi úspěšného a uznávaného českého skladatele v tehdejším Československu.
Abstract:
Master's diploma thesis primarily focuses on transport of Bohuslav Martinu's body 20 years after his death from Switzerland to his home country. This illustrates what relationship he had with political and musical characters then and how his status during several years changed from "forbidden" author to very successful and reputable czech composer in Czechoslovakia.
