The EU Common Security and Defense Policy in the Area of Fight Against the Terrorism

Anotácia:

Práce bude zaměřena na společnou bezpečnostní a obrannou politiku Evropské unie v oblasti boje proti terorismu v období po událostech z 11. září 2001 ve Spojených státech amerických. Nastíníme vývoj a změny v této oblasti, nástroje, instituce a strategii, kterou Unie v boji s terorismem používá. Dále se budeme zabývat vlivem některých vybraných teroristických útoků na vývoj politiky Evropské unie v oblasti boje proti terorismu. Zároveň porovnáme přístup Evropské unie k protiteroristickému boji před a po událostech z 11. září 2001.Po metodologické stránce se bude práce opírat o kvalitativní obsahovou analýzu dokumentů, použita bude také metoda case study v případě analýzy vybraných teroristických útoků. Rovněž bude aplikována metoda komparace - tedy srovnání přístupů Evropské unie k této problematice před a po útocích v USA.

Abstract:

Work will be focused on common security and defence policy of the European union in the area of fight against the terrorism in phase after events from 11. September 2001 in the United States of America. It will be outlined development and changes in this area, tools, institutions and strategy, which is used in the fight with terrorism by the Union. Further we will deal with effect of some selected terroristic attacks on development of European union policy in the area of fight against the terrorism. Herewith we will compare access of the European union to counterterrorism fight before and after events from 11th September 2001.After methodology aspect work will be based on qualitative contentual analysis of documents, also it will be used method case study in the case of analysis of some selected terroristic attacks. As well it will be applied method of comparison - then confrontation accesses of the European union to this problem before and after attacks in the USA.
