Cieľom diplomovej práce je poukázať na teoretické aspekty nástrojov menovej politiky centrálnej banky, analyzovať vývoj využívania nástrojov menovej politiky NBS a ECB, poukázať na efektívnosť využívania týchto nástrojov a formulovať možnosti ďalšieho využívania nástrojov menovej politiky ECB.
