The dissertation thesis deals with the public law aspects of the illegal trade in archaeological finds, thus opening a topic that has not been yet explored further in the Czech Republic. Firstly, it is explained how the illegal trade in archaeological finds works, its history included. Then, attention is paid to the public law aspects that affect the studied problem. Dizertačná práca sa zaoberá verejnoprávnymi aspektami nelegálneho obchodu s archeologickými nálezmi, pričom tak otvára tému v Českej republike bližšie neprebádanú.
