Motivation in foreign language teaching of primary school pupils

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Motivace žáků ZŠ ve výuce cizích jazyků je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část empirickou. Teoretickou část tvoří čtyři kapitoly. První kapitola popisuje různé teorie motivace, druhá kapitola se zabývá druhy motivace a motivačními činiteli ve školním prostředí. Třetí kapitola vymezuje postavení vyučovacího předmětu Cizí jazyk v rámci kurikulárních dokumentů. Čtvrtá kapitola se věnuje didaktice cizích jazyků, vymezuje metody výuky a charakterizuje materiální didaktické prostředky. Empirická část na základě dotazníkového šetření zjišťuje současný stav motivace žáků ZŠ ve výuce cizích jazyků.

Abstract:

The thesis Motivation of Elementary School Pupils in the Teaching of Foreign Languages is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part consists of four chapters. The first chapter describes various theories of motivation, the second chapter deals with the kinds of motivation and inspiring factors in the school environment. The third chapter defines the role of the subject in the context of the foreign language within the framework of curriculum documents. The fourth chapter deals with the didactics of foreign languages, defines teaching methods and characterizes the didactic resource material. The empirical part, based on the survey, inquires about the current state of the motivation of primary school pupils in the teaching of foreign languages.
