This bachelor thesis deals with the identification of deprived areas in the Zlín Region, with the help of a socio-economic deprivation index. Inspiration to create a socio-economic deprivation index is drawn from foreign literature. The Czech Republic has its specific conditions and available data from which it can be drawn.
