Bonding - the first contact between mother and child after birth

Abstract:

Cílem přehledové bakalářské práce bylo vyhledat, sumarizovat aktuální publikované poznatky o pozitivním vlivu poporodního bondingu mezi matkou a novorozencem prostřednictvím kontaktu kůže na kůži. Studie byly vyhledány pomocí systematické rešeršní strategie a byly vyhledávány v elektronických databázích EBSCO, BiblioMedica/Medvik, CINAHL, PubMed/Medline pomocí předem definovaných kritérií. Sběr dat a jejich analýza a syntéza proběhla na základě stanovených dílčích cílů. Tato přehledová bakalářská práce poukazuje na důležitost intimního kontaktu mezi matkou a novorozencem jak po vaginálním porodu, tak po porodu císařským řezem. Práce se zaměřuje na výhody poporodního kontaktu pro matku i její dítě. Bylo zjištěno, že bonding po porodu mezi matkou a dítětem má pozitivní vliv na poporodní adaptaci novorozence a reguluje jeho plačtivost. Zároveň byl prokázán pozitivní vliv na rychlejší zotavení matky po porodu a posilnění pouta mezi ní a dítětem. Výsledky přehledové bakalářské práce můžou být využity jako zdroj informací pro zdravotnické pracovníky a rodiče pro lepší porozumění benefitů tohoto intimního kontaktu.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to search for, summarize and review the current published knowledge on the positive influence of postpartum bonding between mother and newborn through skin-to-skin contact. Studies were retrieved using a systematic search strategy and were searched in the electronic databases EBSCO, BiblioMedica/Medvik, CINAHL, PubMed/Medline using predefined criteria. Data collection, analysis and synthesis were performed based on the sub-objectives. This review undergraduate thesis highlights the importance of intimate contact between mother and newborn after both vaginal delivery and cesarean delivery. The thesis focuses on the benefits of postnatal contact for both the mother and her baby. It has been found that bonding after birth between mother and child has a positive effect on the newborn's postnatal adaptation and regulates crying. It has also been shown to have a positive effect on faster recovery of the mother after birth and strengthening the bond between her and her baby. The results of the review thesis can be used as a source of information for health professionals and parents to better understand the benefits of this intimate contact.
