Effect of lymphatic taping as a part of early postoperative rehabilitation in patients after humeral osteosynthesis

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá efektem lymfatického tejpování aplikovaného v období časné pooperační rehabilitace u pacientů s osteosynteticky řešenou zlomeninou pažní kosti. Předpokládaným efektem využití této metody bylo zmenšení pooperačního otoku v oblasti předloktí, lokte a paže, zvětšení pooperačně omezeného rozsahu pohybu v loketním kloubu a zmenšení bolestivých projevů. Zařazení této metody do časné pooperační rehabilitace se ve všech posuzovaných oblastech ukázalo jako přínosné, a tudíž je metoda považována za vhodnou doplňkovou léčbu pro zmírnění pooperačních potíží.

Abstract:

The master thesis focused on the effect of lymphatic taping as a part of early postoperative rehabilitation in patients after humeral osteosynthesis. The expected effects of using the method were reducing postoperative swelling located on the region forearm, elbow, and arm, enlarging the postoperatively limited range of movement in the elbow joint and reducing pain symptoms. The inclusion of this method in early postoperative rehabilitation has proved beneficial. Thus, the method is considered an appropriate complementary treatment to alleviate postoperative problems.
