Evaluation of the Creditworthiness of the Bank's Client

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se zaměřuji na problematiku hodnocení bonity klienta u obchodních bank na českém trhu. Práce je členěna do čtyř hlavních kapitol. V první z nich se věnuji úvěrovému trhu a vymezení úvěru a jeho funkce v tržním prostředí jako takového. Následuje teorie úvěrového rizika v bance a jak je k této problematice obecně ze strany bank přistupováno, jak se stanovuje úvěrová politika, je zde věnován prostor regulaci jako v dnešní době nezbytné součásti bankovního sektoru se zaměřením na direktiva Basel a jeho části věnující se úvěrovému riziku. Další část práce je věnována rozdělování portfolií klientů v bankách a odlišnému přístupu k posuzování bonity těchto klientů různými typy analýz u retailových klientů a u právnických osob, čili korporátních klientů formou scoringových a ratingových hodnotících metod. V závěrečné části popisuji přístupy čtyř z největších českých bank k hodnocení bonity klienta a rovněž popisuji jejich přístup k vyhodnocování rizika úvěrových obchodů.

Abstract:

Subject of my thesis is creditworthiness evaluation of commercial bank client on the Czech market. The work is divided into four main parts. The first one is devoted to the credit market and definition of a loan and its function in the market. The second part describes the theory of credit risk in the bank, how this problematic is generally treated by banks, how the credit policy is determined, there is also part dedicated to the regulation as the essential part of banking sector with focus on Basel and the section that deals with credit risk. The third part focuses on distribution of client portfolios in banks and different approaches to assessing the creditworthiness of these clients different types of analyses for retail clients and legal persons or corporate clients in the form of scoring and rating evaluation methods . The final section describes approaches of the four of the largest Czech banks to evaluation of creditworthiness of the client and their approach to risk assessment of credit transactions
