Developing fine motoric skills at primary school

Abstract:

Téma diplomové práce je zaměřeno na rozvoj a úroveň jemné motoriky žáků mladšího školního věku, a to konkrétně žáků třetích tříd. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou část a praktickou část. Teoretická část vymezuje rozvoj hrubé a jemné motoriky od nejútlejšího věku až po dobu, kdy dítě nastupuje do školy. Zachycuje tedy všechny důležité etapy vývoje motoriky, kterými by dítě mělo projít, aby se u něj vyvinuly všechny potřebné předpoklady pro úspěšné zvládání činností, které jej při nástupu do školy čekají. Tato část se také zaměřuje na poruchy motoriky, které se mohou u žáků objevit. Nachází se v ní spousta cvičení a činností, které pomáhají rozvíjet jemnou i hrubou motoriku, z nichž jsem se částečně inspirovala při vytváření baterie úkolů pro testování. Praktická část zachycuje průběh výzkumu, který probíhal ve třech třídách základních škol, a to konkrétně třetích ročníků. Snažila jsem se poskládat úkoly tak, aby pomohly zjistit u každého žáka úroveň jejich motoriky z co nejširšího hlediska. Získaná data jsem analyzovala z více hledisek. Nejdříve jsem se zaměřila na každého žáka individuálně, kdy jsem zjišťovala, zda je úroveň hrubé motoriky na podobné úrovni jako motorika jemná. Poté jsem zjišťovala, na jaké úrovni žáci v jemné motorice jsou, porovnávala jsem je dle pohlaví, vyhodnocovala, v jakých činnostech nejvíce zaostávají a zjišťovala, zda jsou rozdíly mezi žáky z malé obce a žáky z města.

Abstract:

The topic of the diploma thesis is focused on the development and level of fine motor skills of younger school-age students, specifically third-graders. The work is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part defines the development of fine and gross motor skills from the youngest age until the time when the child starts school. Therefore, it captures all the important stages of motor development, that a child should go through in order to develop all the necessary prerequisites for successfully managing the activities that await him, when he starts school. This section also focuses on motor disorders that may occur in students. It contains a lot of exercises and activities that help develop fine and gross motor skills, from which I was partly inspired when creating a battery of tasks for testing. The practical part captures the progress of the research, which took place in three classes of primary sschools, specifically in the third grades. I tried to arrange the tasks in such a way that they would help me to find out the level of motor skills of each student from the widest possible point of view. I analyzed the obtained data from several points of view. I first focused on each student individually, when I found out whether the level of gross motor skills was at a similar level of fine motor skills. Then I found out what level the students were in fine motor skills, I compared them according to gender, evaluated in which activities they were lagging behind the most and found out if there were differences between students from a small village and students from a city.
