Support for Families with Children up to 15 Years of Age, after the Death of One of the Parents

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se orientuje na problematiku podpory rodin s dětmi do 15 let, které se musely vyrovnat s tíživou životní situací po smrti jednoho z rodičů. V práci jsou identifikovány potřeby těchto rodin a charakterizovány rozličné podoby jejich podpory. Problematika je nahlížena také optikou české legislativy. Hlavním výstupem je projekt, který má sloužit jako adekvátní podpora v této komplikované životní fázi. Tento projekt je vytvořen pro mobilní hospic Strom života, přičemž cílí na péči o děti, které musí zvládnout proces zvládání ztráty a truchlení. Zahrnuje komplexní psychosociální podporu těchto dětí a nabízí postupy, které je možné při práci s dětmi uplatnit. Projekt by měl pomoci poskytnout dětem, které přišly o člena rodiny, vyrovnat se s nelehkou situací, ve které se ocitly. Zaměstnanci dostanou příležitost rozvíjet své dovednosti a znalosti. Jako potenciální problém efektivní realizace projektu je vnímána jeho závislost na externím financování a jistá neurčitost.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of support for families with children under 15 who had to cope with a difficult life situation after the death of one of their parents. The thesis identifies the needs of these families and characterizes different forms of support. The issue is also viewed through the lens of Czech legislation. The main output is a project that is intended to serve as an adequate support in this complicated phase of life. This project is created for the mobile hospice Strom život (Tree of Life) and aims to care for children who have to cope with the process of coping with loss and grief. It includes comprehensive psychosocial support for these children and offers practices that can be applied when working with children. The project should help to provide children who have lost a family member with a way of coping with the difficult situation in which they find themselves. Staff will be given the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge. The project's dependence on external funding and some uncertainty is seen as a potential problem for its effective implementation.
