Microorganisms inhabiting the midgut of ixodid ticks
Abstract:
Ticks are important vectors of viral (e.g., tick-borne encephalitis virus, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus, Bhanja virus), bacterial (Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato, Rickettsia spp., Francisella tularensis) and protozoan (Babesia spp., Theileria spp.) pathogens. Klíšťata jsou důležitými přenašeči virových (např. virus klíšťové encefalitidy, virus krymsko-konžské hemoragické horečky, virus Bhanja), bakteriálních (Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato, Rickettsia spp., Franciscella tularensis) a protozoárních (Babesia spp., Theileria spp.) patogenů.
