Anotace:

The Republic of South Africa, located at the southern tip of the African continent is a complex country to say the least. Between the vast biodiversity that the country holds, the large mix of cultures within, and the extensive history that has occurred within the nation; the Republic of South Africa has come a long way. The country has been believed to be one that has seen important developments in human evolution by the discovery of the Australopithecines1 , as well as evolution in the various biospheres that can be found in the country. Even after apartheid fell in 1994, there was a reference by Archbishop Desmond Tutu which referred to South Africa as the “Rainbow Nation”2 highlighting not only the cultural diversity within South Africa, but also the diversity of the nature that could be found within the nation.
