Proměny pohledů českých prezidentů na Německo

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce je zmapovat měnící se názory českých prezidentů na Německo. Původně jsem se chtěla zabývat rozdíly v jejich postojích k Německu, ale po prostudování pramenů k bakalářské práci jsem zjistila, že ačkoli se osobnosti našich českých prezidentů velmi liší, jejich postoje k Německu jsou podobné a často velmi podobné. Rozdílný byl pouze způsob, jakým se prezentovali, často ovlivněný populismem nebo pragmatickým přístupem k zásadním otázkám česko-německých vztahů. Ve svých studijních materiálech jsem se často odvolával na to, jak čeští prezidenti vnímali česko-německou minulost, která byla hlavním východiskem jejich postojů k našemu německému sousedovi. Snažil jsem se chronologicky srovnávat tři prezidenty na základě komparativní studie a vždy jsem si kladl následující otázky. Co o nich skutečně vím (na rozdíl od běžně uváděných tezí)? Byl nakonec Havel stejný populista jako Zeman a Klaus? Byli Zeman a Klaus skutečně populisty? Co nakonec vyplynulo z jejich osobních postojů a jak se to otisklo do zahraniční politiky České republiky? Jako primární zdroje jsem použil knihy a rozhovory a projevy prezidentů, jako sekundární zdroje pak internetové zdroje. Cílem mé práce je tedy porovnat postoje českých prezidentů k Německu a dokázat, že jejich postoje nebyly tak odlišné, jak jsem se domníval. Budu tak činit chronologicky a ráda bych, aby se zahraniční politika České republiky vůči Německu v daných obdobích jevila na pozadí těchto skutečností. Bude mě také zajímat populismus až extremismus v některých krocích našich prezidentů a to, jak mohly ovlivnit česko-německé vztahy.

Abstract:

My bachelor's thesis aims to map the changing views of Czech presidents towards Germany. Originally I wanted to look at the differences in their attitudes towards Germany, but after studying the sources for my bachelor thesis I found that although the personalities of our Czech presidents were very different, their attitudes towards Germany were similar and often very similar. Only the way they presented themselves was different, often influenced by populism or a pragmatic approach to the fundamental issues of Czech-German relations. In my study materials I often referred to the way Czech presidents perceived the Czech-German past, which was the main starting point for their attitudes towards our German neighbour. I tried to compare the three presidents chronologically on the basis of a comparative study and I always asked myself the following questions. What do I really know about them (as opposed to the commonly stated thesis)? In the end, was Havel the same populist as Zeman and Klaus? Were Zeman and Klaus really populists? What eventually came of their personal attitudes and how did it imprint itself in the foreign policy of the Czech Republic? I used books and interviews and speeches by the presidents as primary sources, and Internet sources as secondary sources. The aim of my work is therefore to compare the attitudes of the Czech presidents towards Germany and to prove that their attitudes were not as different as I thought. I will do this chronologically, and I would like the foreign policy of the Czech Republic towards Germany in the given periods to appear against the background of these facts. I will also be interested in populism to extremism in some of the actions of our presidents and how they may have affected Czech-German relations.
