The diploma thesis occupies itself with the determination of terms tale,schwank, legend and with their analysis based on examples from the book "Kinder- und Hausmärchen" by The Brothers Grimm.The thesis includes information about the genre of fairy-tale and its typical features. Diplomová práce se zabývá stanovením pojmů pověst, švank, legenda a jejich analýzou na základě příkladů z knihy "Kinder- und Hausmärchen" od bratří Grimmů. Práce zároveň obsahuje informace o žánru pohádka a jejích typických znacích. Tato práce je zaměřena především na analýzu deseti textů, které jsou v knize pojmenovány jako dětské legendy.
