Scrolling Song Book - A Song Book with Automatic Scrolling of Lyrics

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem a implementací aplikace zpěvníku s funkcí automatického posunu textu. Popisuje jednotlivé kroky nezbytné pro synchronizaci textu písně s hraným projevem uživatele, zachyceným zvukovou kartou hostitelského počítače. Práce se zaměřuje na výběr vhodného formátu pro zápis textu písní, který je nezbytný pro správné zobrazení jejich struktury, a analyzuje vhodné metody rozpoznávání akordů, kde se jako efektivní řešení ukázalo využití chromagramů a jejich chroma vektorů. Pro provádění analýzy zvukového signálu byla zvolena zvuková knihovna poskytující vybrané metody. Dále je detailně popsán algoritmus pro stanovení aktuální pozice v písni na základě rozpoznaných akordů. Na konci této práce jsou zhodnoceny výsledky testování, které potvrzují spolehlivost navrženého řešení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a songbook application with an automatic text scrolling function. It describes the individual steps necessary to synchronize the song lyrics with the user's performance, captured by the host computer's sound card. The thesis aims at selecting an appropriate format for recording song lyrics, essential for the correct display of their structure, and analyzes suitable methods for chord recognition, where the use of chromagrams and their chroma vectors proved to be an effective solution. An audio library providing selected methods was chosen for performing the analysis of the audio signal. Furthermore, the algorithm for determining the current position in the song based on recognized chords is described in detail. The thesis concludes with an evaluation of test results, confirming the reliability of the proposed solution.
