Tato práce se zaměřuje na popis shod a diferencí mezi dramaty Věc Makropulos Karla Čapka a Zpět k Methusalemovi G. B. Shawa. Pro komplexnost porovnání obou děl stručně popisuje vzájemný vztah obou autorů. Zabývá se také inspiračními vlivy, žánry děl a postavami. Největší shodu s Věcí Makropulos vykazuje druhá část pentalogie Evangelium bratří Barnabasů s přesahem do třetí části Věc se stala skutkem …more

The thesis focuses on the description of similarities and differences between dramas The Makropulos Secret by Karel Čapek and Back to Mathuselah by G. B. Shaw. For the complexity of the analysis the thesis briefly describes mutual relationship of the authors. It analyses inspirational influences, genres of the works and their characters.
