Modern digital to analog converters for audio applications

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou digitálně-analogových převodníků pro audio aplikace. První část práce obsahuje stručný úvod do problematiky používaných číslicových audio modulací a sběrnic a popisu jejich vlastností. Následující část vysvětluje základní principy úpravy digitálního signálu a funkční principy jednotlivých bloků, ze kterých se moderní digitálně-analogové převodníky skládají. Ve třetí části práce je uveden přehled na trhu dostupných typů digitálně-analogových převodníků a rozbor jejich parametrů. Čtvrtá, hlavní, část práce je zaměřena na praktickou konstrukci funkčního vzorku modulu využívajícího moderní digitálně-analogový převodník. Dále zde bylo provedeno porovnání návrhu analogové části funkčního vzorku s průběhy získanými pomocí počítačové simulace. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny výsledky měření, která byla na realizovaném modulu provedena a tyto jsou diskutovány.

Abstract:

The Master thesis deals with digital analog converters for audio applications. The first part of this thesis provides a brief introduction to the issue of modulation and busses used in digital audio and a description of their properties. The following section explains the basic principles of digital signal editing and describes the function principles of each part, from which the modern digital to analog converter consist of. The third part of the text is an overview of the market available types of digital to analog converters and analysis of their features. Fourth part is focused on the description of practical construction of the sample module using modern digital to analog converter. A brief comparison of the analog part design with computer simulation results are discussed in this part of the work. The last part is formed by the results of measurements made on the realized module. The measured results are introduced in conclusion of this work.
