Analysis of Warhorse Studios s.r.o. for venture capital fund purposes

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza společnosti Warhorse Studios s.r.o. pro účely venture kapitálového fondu a zjistit jaké faktory vedly k úspěchu produktu. Teoretická část vymezuje pojmy ohledně startupu a venture kapitálu. Navazuje na ní praktická část, která se zabývá celou společností Warhorse Studios s.r.o. Nejprve je charakterizována společnost a její produkt. Následně je provedena analýza účetních závěrek a zhodnocení závěrů z ní plynoucích. Dále je uskutečněna analýza relevantního trhu, vnitřního potenciálu. Výsledky naznačují, že důležitým prvkem pro úspěch společnosti byl zájem o produkt, schopný tým vývojářů a investor ochotný investovat do riskantního projektu. Na závěr jsou shrnuty faktory, které výrazně ovlivnily úspěch společnosti v jednotlivých fázích vývoje společnosti.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the company Warhorse Studios s.r.o. for venture capital fund purposes and to find out what factors led to the success of the product. The theoretical part defines the concepts of startup and venture capital. It is followed by a practical part, which deals with the company Warhorse Studios s.r.o. First, the company and its product are characterized. Subsequently, an analysis of financial statements and evaluation of conclusions arising from them is performed. Furthermore, an analysis of the relevant market, internal potential is performed. The results suggest that an important element for the company's success was the interest in the product, a capable team of developers and an investor willing to invest in a risky project. In the end, the factors that significantly influenced the company's success in the various stages of the company's development are summarized.
