The Complexity of Smart Services and Structure of the Smart City

Abstract:

Moderní svět se rychle zvyšuje v míře růstu městských oblastí. V zájmu udržitelného rozvoje těchto městských oblastí se města po celém světě přeměňují na inteligentní města, které usnadňují inovační technologie jako Cloudové služby, Internet věcí (IoT) atd., Aby poskytly nejlepší řešení pro zachování kvality života ( QoL) a kvality služeb (QoS) pro své inteligentní občany. V současné době čelí městům v rozvinutých i rozvojových zemích po celém světě mnoha hlavním výzvám, jako je růst městské populace, dopravní zácpy, degradace životního prostředí, kvalita veřejných služeb, nedostatek elektřiny a účinné řízení zdrojů. V tomto článku navrhuji tři S-dimenze, které mohou být použity k vyhodnocení toho, zda je město klasifikováno do inteligentního města, nebo ne. Tyto tři hlavní dimenze S jsou základními faktory pro vytvoření inteligentních služeb pro budování silné inteligentní ekonomiky, inteligentního bydlení a inteligentního prostředí. Kromě toho také provádím praktický výzkum projektů inteligentních měst v Belgii, Spojených státech amerických a Asii se zaměřením na složitost služeb a strukturu inteligentních měst. Kromě toho navržená referenční architektura zaměřená na služby pomůže městským projektantům a rozhodujícím osobám v soukromém i veřejném sektoru při realizaci inteligentních měst, aby inteligentním městům poskytovaly inteligentní hodnoty. Tato abstraktní architektura je zapouzdřena do sedmi základních vrstev, zejména fyzické infrastruktury, inteligentních zařízení, správy dat, inteligentních aplikací a softwaru, inteligentních služeb, inteligentních funkcí a inteligentních účastníků v hlavních oblastech plánování měst, inteligentní energie, inteligentní mobilita, veřejné osvětlení, , inteligentní prostředí a elektronická správa. Zaměřením tohoto příspěvku je podrobný přehled o složitosti služeb inteligentních měst a jejich struktuře v rámci těchto sedmi klíčových vrstev inteligentních měst. Hlavní výhody této praktické práce poskytnou plánovačům města a rozhodovatelům plán implementace inteligentních měst založený na dominantním pojetí složitosti služeb inteligentních měst a jejich struktuře v rámci těchto sedmivrstvových architektur, které budou poskytovat inteligentní služby řešit problémy v dnešních městech.

Abstract:

The modern world is increasing rapidly in the growth rate of urban areas. To keep the sustainable development of these urban areas, cities around the world are turning into the smart cities facilitated by the innovation technology such as Cloud services, Internet of Things (IoT) etc. to provide the best solution to maintain the Quality of Life (QoL) and the Quality of Services (QoS) for their smart citizens. There are multiple major challenges nowadays faced by the cities in both developed and developing countries around the world such as urban population growth, traffic congestion, environmental degradation, the quality of public services, the lack of electricity and effective resource management. In this paper, I propose three S-Dimensions that can be used to evaluate whether a city is classified into the smart city or not. These three major S-Dimensions are the essential factors to create the smart services to build the strong smart economy, smart living and smart environment. In addition, I also perform the practical research of the smart city projects in Belgium, United States of America and Asia with focusing on the complexity of services and structure of the smart cities. Moreover, the proposed service-oriented reference architecture will help city planners and the top-level decision makers in both private and public sectors for implementing smart cities to provide the smart city values to their smart participants. This abstract architecture is encapsulated within seven core layers namely physical infrastructure, smart devices, data management, smart application and software, smart services, smart features and smart participants in the main areas of urban planning, smart energy, smart mobility, public lighting, emergency, smart environment and e-government. The focus of this paper is to present a detailed overview of the complexity of the smart city services and its structure within these seven core layers of the smart cities. The main benefits of this practical work will provide the city planners and decision makers a roadmap for implementing the smart cities based on the dominant concept of the complexity of the smart city services and its structure within these seven-layer architectures to provide the smart services to tackle the problems in the cities nowadays.
