The Crown Witness
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá stručným náhledem na institut korunního svědka - charakteristikou pojmu, jeho účelem a původem. Korunní svědek je institut mající původ v angloamerickém právním systému. Podstatou korunního svědectví je to, že obviněný výměnou za příslib snížení trestu či beztrestnosti poskytne orgánům činným v trestním řízení svědeckou výpověď v řízení vedeném proti jinému obviněnému. Abstract:
This work contains information about the Crown Witness - the definition of the term, its purpose and origin. Origin of the crown witness lays in the Anglo-American legal system. The crown witnes is someone who testifies against his former criminal accomplices in exchange for lesser sentence or no sentence at all.
