Analysis of the braking effect and rolling resistance of a passenger car in relation to the inflation pressure of the tires

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá změnou pasivních ztrát v závislosti na měnícím se tlaku vzduchu v pneumatikách. Popisuje změny brzdného účinku a stanoví pasivní ztráty působící na vozidlo. V první části práce jsou definovány odpory, které na vozidlo při jízdě působí. V další části práce jsou rozděleny pneumatiky podle druhů, způsobů výroby a popis konstrukce pneumatik. Ve třetí části této práce jsou uvedeny brzdové soustavy automobilů. Dále jsou definovány jednotlivé úseky při brzdění, metodika měření valivého odporu kola, typy válcových zkušeben a popis části a princip funkce válcové zkušebny.V praktické části je popsáno měření pasivních ztrát vozidla a analýza brzdného účinku v závislosti na tlaku huštění pneumatik. Naměřené průběhy hodnot jsou uvedeny v tabulkách a vhodně graficky zpracovány. Hodnoty naměřené při různých tlacích huštění byly statisticky porovnány a bylo zjištěno, zda mezi soubory naměřených hodnot existuje statisticky významný rozdíl.

Abstract:

This thesis concerns itself with the change of passive losses subject to the varying air pressure in tyres. It also describes the changes of braking effect and it determines the powers which have an effect on a car. In the first part of the thesis resistances which have an effect on a car during driving are defined. In the next part of the thesis tyres are categorised by their types and methods of production. The third part of the thesis addresses the types of braking systems found in cars and this is supported by a characterisation of the classes of braking systems in cars, the methodology used for measuring a wheel's rolling resistance, and a detailed explanation of cylinders' test rooms.
