Specifics of Exchange Traded Funds Investments on the European Financial Market

Abstract:

Tato závěrečná práce „Specifika investic do ETF na evropském finančním trhu“ analyzuje v posledních letech velice populární investiční instrument a tím jsou burzovně obchodované fondy. Cílem této práce je formulovat zásady investování do ETF v soudobých specifických podmínkách evropského finančního trhu a navrhnout možné investiční příležitosti pro investora s dlouhodobým investičním horizontem. Na začátku práce jsou shrnuty teoretické aspekty tohoto produktu. Později je provedena analýza soudobé situace na evropském trhu, je zde analyzována právní úprava ETF a také momentální trendy v obchodování a to jak na celosvětovém, tak především na evropském trhu. Na závěr je formulováno několik zásad investování do toho produktu a na základě matematicko-statistických metod vybrán konkrétní fond, který je potencionálnímu investorovi doporučen.

Abstract:

This thesis “Specifics of ETF´s Investments on the European Financial Market” analysis nowadays very popular investment product and that is Exchange Traded Funds. The aim of this thesis is to define principles of investing to ETF in contemporary specific conditions on the European financial market and to design possible investment opportunities for an investor in long time period. There is a sum up of theoretical findings at the beginning of this work. Further there is an analysis of contemporary situation on the European market, there is also an analysis of European legislative regulation and actual trends in trading of this product on the worldwide and especially European market. At the end there are formulated several principles of investing to ETF and there has also been chosen one particular fund which was based on mathematical and statistical methods.
