Vodné procesy patří mezi běžně používané kroky při restaurování papírových dokumentů. Některá barviva a inkousty jsou však ve vodě rozpustné a proto je v takových případech nutné použít fixační prostředky. Aqueous processes are commonly used steps in the conservation of paper documents. However, some of the dyes and inks are water-soluble and, in such cases, it is necessary to use fixative agents.
