V současnosti existuje na světě velké množství lidí, kteří trpí onemocněním jako jsou bércové vředy nebo diabetické vředy, které vykazují poruchy hojení. Takové rány se nazývají chronické rány a velmi špatně se hojí. K ztěžování hojivého procesu přispívají také bakterie kolonizující ránu a jejich rezistence k antibiotikům představuje velký problém. Abstract:
There are currently many people in the world, who suffer from diseases such as venous leg ulcers or diabetic ulcers and these show impaired wound healing. Such wounds are called chronic wounds and they are very difficult to heal. Bacterial colonisation of the wound site also makes the wound healing difficult.
