The Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na ochranu nehmotného kulturního dědictví. V první kapitole jsou definovány základní pojmy jako nemateriální kulturní dědictví, kulturní projevy, kulturní rozmanitost a další. Druhá kapitola popisuje mezinárodní právní ochranu a právní ochranu v České republice v této oblasti. Význam organizace UNESCO při podporování a ochraňování nemateriálního kulturního dědictví zaznamenává následující kapitola. Čtvrtá kapitola popisuje financování na mezinárodní a vnitrostátní úrovni. Na institucionální organizaci a jednání jednotlivých orgánů pro podporu a ochranu tohoto dědictví se zaměřuje kapitola pátá. Dvěma významnými statky České republiky zapsanými na Representativním seznamu nemateriálního kulturního dědictví lidstva (Jízda králů na jihovýchodě České republiky, Slovácký verbuňk) a popsáním organizace, prezentace a financováním specifického folklorního festivalu Slovácka (Slovácké slavnosti vína a otevřených památek v Uherském Hradišti) v praxi, se zabývají následující dvě kapitoly. Úvahy o budoucí kodifikaci týkající se ochrany nemateriálního kulturního dědictví v České republice zahrnuje osmá kapitola. Cílem této práce je shrnutí tohoto tématu v ucelený text, zhodnocení současného stavu a stručné představení budoucí kodifikace ochrany nemateriálního kulturního dědictví v České republice.

Abstract:

This Diploma thesis is focused on protection of intangible cultural heritage. The first chapter defines basic therms like intangible cultural heritage, cultural expressions, cultural diversity and others. The second chapter discribes international law protection and law protection of the Czech Republic in this area. Importance of the UNESCO in promotion and protection of intangible cultural heritage is noted in following chapter. The fourth chapter discribes financing on international and internal level. Institutional organization and action of individual Authorities for promotion and protection of this heritage is focus of the fifth chapter. Two following chapters deal with two important elements of the Czech Republic stated on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (the Ride of the Kings in the south east of the Czech Republic and Slovácko verbuňk) and description of the practical organization, presentation and funds of specific folklor festival of Slovácko (the wine Festival of Slovácko and open monuments days in Uherské Hradiště). The eight chapter includes considerations about future codification of protection of intangible cultural heritage of the Czech Republic. The aim of this work is complex summary of this topic, evaluation of actual situation and short introduction into the future codification of protection of intangible cultural heritage of the Czech Republic.
