Ritualization of social behavior associated with childbirth

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce má dvě části - teoretickou a průzkumnou. Teoretická část práce se věnuje vymezení základních pojmů, popisu teoretických přístupů k problematice rituálu jako kulturního fenoménu, a zaměřuje se na konkrétní rituály související s porodem. Teoretická část vytváří informační základnu pro část praktickou. Cílem praktické části je zjistit, zda a případně jaké rituály rodičky používaly ve spojitosti s porodem. Dále z jakých důvodů tyto rituály využívaly a odhalit, zda ze subjektivního hlediska rodiček, měly provedené rituály vliv na jejich vnímání průběhu porodu. K jejímu zpracování bylo využito rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis has two parts - theoretical and exploratory. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the definition of basic concepts, a description of theoretical approaches to the issue of ritual as a cultural phenomenon and focuses on specific rituals related to childbirth. The theoretical part is an information base for the practical part. The aim of the practical part is to find out whether and possibly what rituals the mothers used in connection with childbirth. Also for what reasons they used these rituals and find out if the performed rituals had an effect on their perception of the course of childbirth. From the subjective point of view of the mothers. This part was processed through interviews.
