Polish minority in region Cieszyn Silesia in the eyes of Czech secondary school students

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá postojem českých studentů středních škol v české části Těšínského Slezska k příslušníkům polské národnostní menšiny a k projevům polské menšiny z hlediska národně-menšinového života. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny základní pojmy, o něž je opřena formulace poznávacího cíle. Je zde vymezen pojem postoj, dále charakteristika českých studentů středních škol a nakonec je zde podrobně rozebrána polská národnostní menšina. V rámci teoretického konceptu polské národnostní menšiny je představena demografie Těšínského Slezska, posléze příslušníci polské národnostní menšiny a projevy menšiny z hlediska národně-menšinového života. V metodologické části práce jsou popsány dílčí výzkumné otázky a metodologie výzkumu. Výzkum je uskutečněn za pomoci kvalitativního přístupu a za použití polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. V empirické části práce se věnuji interpretaci získaných dat. V závěru uvádím výsledky výzkumu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the attitide of Czech secondary school students in czech part of the region Cieszyn Silesia towards members of polish minority and acts of polish minority as a whole. In the theoretical part there are specified basic terms, which supports formulation of cognitive goal. It specifies term attitude, further characteristics of czech high school students and there is a detailed analysis of polish minority at the end. In the theoretical concept of the polish minority, there is introduced demography of Cieszyn Silesia, further members of polish minority and acts of polish minority from minority point of view. In metodological part of work, there are described sectional scientific questions and metodology of the research. Research was accomplished with help of qualitative approach a with usage of half-structured dialogue. In the empirical part of the work, I engage interpretation of the gained data. Results are showed in the last part of the work.
