The factors for success in the restaurant business

Abstract:

The present bachelor thesis focuses on factors, which influence the success of business in hospitality sector. The first part of the thesis establishes the teoretical framework, provides methodological foundations for understanding the analytical part, and identifies and operationalizes particular factors, influence of which will be examined. Later, it employs linear regression to identify those factors that influence the succes of restaurant and bar called Krcma, located in the Irish city of Galway. Subsequently, a set of recommendations is deduced from the econometric modelling, which aims to improve the efficiency of decision-making processes and increase the sales of the business.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou faktorov ovplyvňujúcich úspešnosť podnikania v oblasti pohostinstva. Prvá časť práce sa zameriava teoretickým vymedzením pojmov, poskytnutím metodologického základu pre pochopenie analytickej časti a identifikáciou a operacionalizáciou konkrétnych faktorov, ktorých vplyv bude skúmať. Neskôr pomocou lineárnej regresie denných tržieb podniku identifikuje faktory, ktoré ovplyvňujú úspešnosť reštaurácie a baru Krčma pôsobiacej v írskom meste Galway. Na záver sú z tohto ekonometrického modelovania vyvodené odporúčania pre konkrétny podnik, ktorých cieľom je zefektívniť rozhodovací proces a zvýšit tržby podniku.
