Aesthetics of feministic cinematographic production, or woman and film in selected films

Abstract:

Tato práce se především zabývá feministickou filmovou teorií, jež se rozvíjela v souvislosti s vývojem feministického hnutí. Dále je doplněna o kapitoly týkající se feministické a filmové estetiky, které s filmovou teorií úzce souvisí. V návaznosti na dějiny filmu se práce také zaměřuje na vývoj ženského žánru a s tím související vývoj ženských postav. Primárním cílem této práce je na základě analýzy vybraných filmů poukázat na problematiku týkající se vývoje ženských postav ve filmografii od 30. let minulého století po současnost.

Abstract:

This thesis is mainly interested in feminist film theory which developed in connection with the development of the feminist movement. It is also completed by chapters on feminist and film aesthetics which are closely related to film theory. In connection with the history of film, the work also focuses on the development of the female genre and the related development of female characters. The primary goal of this work is to point out the issues related to the development of female characters in filmography from the 1930s to the present based on the analysis of selected films.
