The Common agriculture policy as percieved by the Czech farmers

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá postojem českých zemědělců ke společné zemědělské politice (SZP) Evropské unie, která je jedním z klíčových faktorů ovlivňujících podobu českého zemědělství od roku 1989. Nejprve je přiblížena motivace vzniku SZP, její historie, nástroje, systém financování a její vývoj s ohledem na přijaté reformy. Dále je představen vývoj českého zemědělství od konce druhé světové války až po současnost. Největší pozornost je však věnována vývoji postojů českých zemědělců k SZP v předvstupním období a v období členství České republiky v Evropské unii. Tato práce se snaží identifikovat klíčové faktory mající vliv na tento postoj. Zároveň se snaží určit, zda je těchto faktorů více, či zda existuje nějaký dominantní. Autor práce se rovněž snaží odpovědět na otázku, zda postoj českých zemědělců souvisel s aktuálním děním, či nikoli. Pozornost je věnována i srovnání postoje českých zemědělců v období, kdy se Česká republika připravovala na členství, a v momentě, kdy již byla plnoprávným členem.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the attitude of Czech farmers to the common agricultural policy (CAP) of the European Union, which is one of the key factors influencing the shape of Czech agriculture since 1989. The first part of text describes motivation for the origin of CAP, its history, instruments, system of financing and development with regard on its reforms. The second part focused on development of Czech agriculture since the Second World War to the present. The greatest attention is paid to the development of attitudes of Czech farmers to the CAP in a period before Czech Republic's membership and after accession to the European Union. This text seeks to identify key factors affecting this attiudes. At the same time this text is trying to determine whether there is one dominant or wheter there is more factors. The author also tries to answer the question whether the attitude of Czech farmers was associated with the current situation or not. Attention is paid also to the comparison of attitudes of Czech farmers at a time when the Czech Republic prepared for membership, and at the moment when was a full member.
