Needs of a child with cerebral palsy

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zmapovat potřeby dítěte s dětskou mozkovou obrnou a předložit možnosti vybraných metod péče, které mohou zvýšit kvalitu života dítěte. Dílčí cíl: Zjistit stav potřeb dítěte s dětskou mozkovou obrnou v průběhu tří měsíců péče. Ke zpracování bakalářské práce je využita jedna z metod kvalitativního šetření ? případová studie. Data jsou získána studiem zdravotní a sociální dokumentace, pozorováním reakcí dítěte při činnostech v rámci podílení se na péči o dítě a rozhovorem s dalšími pečujícími osobami. Kazuistika prezentuje případ chlapce s dětskou mozkovou obrnou a je směřována na zjištění potřeb dítěte. Jsou předkládány metody péče, které mohou zvýšit kvalitu života dítěte. Bakalářská práce je členěna na část teoretickou a praktickou. Během kvalitativního šetření byla snaha zajistit dítěti vjemy ze svého těla a stimulací vnímání organismu mu umožnit lépe vnímat okolní svět a následně s ním navázat komunikaci. Využity byly metody bazální stimulace, canisterapie, muzikoterapie, alternativní a augmentativní komunikace. Efektivita aplikovaných metod se projevila v pozitivních reakcích dítěte, pocitu jistoty a bezpečí, rozvoji všech smyslů, uvědomování si vlastního těla, rozvoji motoriky a sociálních kontaktů a v rozvoji komunikačních schopností. Všechny metody péče aplikované u dítěte s DMO mají za cíl uspokojení fyzických, psychických, sociálních a duchovních potřeb dítěte bez ohledu na jeho schopnosti a možnosti. .

Abstract:

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to map needs of the children with Cerebral Palsy and present current opportunities of chosen care methods, which could improve the quality of their life. Partial goal: To find out the needs of the children with Cerebral Palsy in course of three months of care. In process for this bachelor thesis has been used one of the methods of qualitative investigation ? case study. Data are gathered from studying medical and social documentation, observation of children reactions during regular activities while taking care of the children and interviews with another caregivers. Casuistry presents a case of a boy with Cerebral Palsy and it?s focused on getting to know the needs of the child. Here are presented the methods of care, which could improve child?s quality of life. Bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. During the qualitative investigation was the effort to ensure the child?s perception from own body and to stimulate the perception of own organism to allow him to see and feel the world around him better and then allow him to communicate. There were used following methods ? basal stimulation, canistherapy, music therapy, alternative and augmentative communication. Effectivity of all applied methods have been visible in child?s reactions, sence of security and safety, development of all the senses, awareness of his own body, depelopment of moving skills and social contacts and as well development of communication skills. All methods of care applied at children with Cerebral palsy are intended to satisfy the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the child regardless of his abilities and possibilities.
