The comparison of Moravian-Silesian Region with Spanish Regions in the context of the Regional policy of the EU

Abstract:

The aim of this Bachelor?s Thesis is to compare the Moravia Silesia Cohesion Region with the selected Spanish region in the context of the Regional policy ot the European Union. We will select the region according to the available data about his economic development. Once we choose the Spanish region, we introduce its socioeconomic characteristics that will serve for the basic comparison with the Moravia Silesia Cohesion Region. Then we focus on its regional programming documents, where briefly identify, describe and compare the objectives, priorities and allocations. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part presents Economic and Social Cohesion Policy in European Union (2007-2013). For a better general understanding we describe the regional policy, its tools, objectives and necessary conditions for implementation and define the space where it is carry out. We will prepare the ground for the practical part where perform a simple analysis of the programming documents of both regions. We finally summarize the results.

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je provést srovnání regionu soudržnosti Moravskoslezsko s vybraným španělským regionem v kontextu regionální politiky Evropské unie. Výběr příslušného regionu provedeme podle dostupných dat o jeho ekonomickém rozvoji. Jakmile zvolíme španělský region, představíme jeho socioekonomické charakteristiky, které poslouží k základnímu srovnání s regionem soudržnosti Moravskoslezsko. Poté se soustředíme na jejich programové dokumenty, ve kterých stručně identifikujeme, zanalyzujeme a porovnáme cíle, priority a přidělené finanční prostředky. Tato práce se skládá ze dvou částí. V teoretické části uvedeme problematiku politiky hospodářské a sociální soudržnosti Evropské unie v programovacím období 2007-2013. Pro lepší všeobecné porozumění regionální politice se v prvních podkapitolách věnujeme jejímu popisu, uvedeme nástroje, cíle a nutné podmínky k její realizaci a vymezíme prostor, kde je vykonávána. Připravíme si tak půdu pro praktickou část, ve které provedeme jednoduchou analýzu programových dokumentů obou regionů a na závěr výsledky shrneme.
