Development of the Cyril and Methodius trail in selected regions of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pracovala s tématem návrhu propojení Cyrilometodějské stezky z území Čech s již vyznačenými trasami na území Moravy. Hlavními cíli práce bylo navrhnout pěší stezky po trasách značených Klubem českých turistů z Levého Hradce do Vranova u Brna a vytvoření návrhu komunikační strategie stezky. Práce byla vypracována ve spolupráci se sdružením Evropská kulturní stezka Cyrila a Metoděje. Komunikační strategie stezky určuje cílovou skupinu, analýzu konkurence a způsoby propagace stezky. Dílčími cíli byly tvorba produktu cestovního ruchu pod názvem „Pěšky českou krajinou“ a také vypracování SWOT analýzy navržené trasy. Výsledkem práce je navržená stezka z Levého Hradce do Vranova u Brna, která může sloužit budoucím návrhům pěších tras k propojení území Čech a Moravy společně s komunikační strategií pro oslovení potenciálních návštěvníků.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the proposal of the connection of the Cyril and Methodius trail in Bohemia with a trail in Moravia, which has been already marked. The main objectives of this work were to create a hiking trail that would lead on a paths marked Czech Tourists Club from Levý Hradec to Vranov u Brna, and, in addition, to create a communication strategy. The proposal of the trail has been created in co-operation with the European Cultural Trail of Cyril and Methodius. The communication strategy of the trail includes the target group, the analysis of the competition, and the forms of promotion of the trail. The sub-objectives focus on the proposal of the tourism product called "Wandering through the Czech countryside" and there has also been created the SWOT analysis for the trail. The result of the work is a suggested trail from Levý Hradec to Vranov u Brna, which can be used for the future proposal of hiking trails to connect the Bohemia region with Moravia, together with a communication strategy for reaching potential customers.
