Nazi anti-partisan repressive apparatus in the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia

Abstract:

Předložená disertační práce se zabývá nacistickým potíráním partyzánské rezistence v období 2. světové války. Zaměřuje se na hierarchii, organizaci, a cíle jednotlivých represivních složek operujících především v oblastech civilní správy. Sleduje postupné prolínaní SS- a policejní moci a poukazuje na dopady jejich společného působení. Na vybraných událostech demonstruje základní postupy bezpečnostních složek nacistického totalitárního státu, jež měly vést k pacifikaci destabilizovaných či nově dobytých oblastí. Potírání partyzánské rezistence práce představuje z perspektivy bezpečnostní politiky Třetí říše. Předkládá teoretickou analýzu světonázorových cílů a jejich realizaci skrze nacisty nově zřízené či ovládnuté instituce. V centru pozornosti práce stojí Protektorát Čechy a Morava, jehož vývoj je kontrastován s děním týlu východní fronty, která se k němu v průběhu 2. světové války nebezpečně přibližuje.

Abstract:

The submitted dissertation deals with the Nazi suppression of the partisan resistance during World War II. It focuses on the hierarchy, organisation and aims of the various repressive forces, which operated primarily in the civil administration. It traces the gradual intermingling of SS and police forces and highlights the effects of their joint action. On the basis of selected events, it demonstrates the fundamental procedures of the security forces of the Nazi totalitarian state, which were intended to lead to the pacification of destabilised or newly conquered territories. The thesis examines the suppression of partisan resistance from the perspective of the Third Reich's security policy. It presents a theoretical analysis of the ideological goals and their implementation by the newly established or controlled institutions. The focus is on the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, whose development is contrasted with events on the Eastern Front, which came dangerously close to the Protectorate during the Second World War.
