The main topic of my thesis is the initiation in some well-known novels written by German speaking author Hermann Hesse. These are: Demian, Der Steppenwolf and Narziss und Goldmund. There are many ways to interpret these works. I chose to see them as the initiation stories and in my thesis I am trying to explain my reasons for doing so. Hlavním tématem práce je iniciace ve známých románech Hesseho: Demian, Der Steppenwolf, Narziss und Goldmund. Díla jsou interpretována různě, v této práci se na tyto romány nazírá jako na romány o zasvěcení. Snažím se doložit, že zasvěcení adepta do určité nauky, klíčové filozofie důchovním rádcem, mentorem je vždy klíčovým tématem těchto děl.
