Gender equality and the task of social pedagogy

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na problematiku rovného postavení žen a mužů ve společnosti, především pak na oblast trhu práce, kde se tento problém projevuje nejmarkantněji. Jednak v nerovném odměňování mužů a žen za práci, jednak v možnostech kariérního postupu, který je ztížen především vlivem genderových stereotypů. Přestože je rovné zacházení se ženami a muži legislativně zakotveno, a to nejen u nás, ale i na úrovni Evropské unie, nedaří se jej uspokojivě uplatňovat v praxi.

Abstract:

The work is focused on the issues of equality of women and men in society, primarily in the area of the labour market, where the problem manifests itself most markedly. Both in an unequal pay for men and women at work and in the possibilities for career advancement, which is difficult primarily because of the influence of gender stereotypes. Although the equal treatment of women and men is legislatively enshrined, and not only for us, but also on the level of the European Union, it cannot be satisfactorily applied in practice.
