Comparative analysis of monarchist and republican forms of states. Case Study.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with a comparative analysis of monarchist and republican forms of states. The thesis presents a set of diverse monarchies, including the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Kingdom of Morocco, the Vatican City State, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We included the Republic of Belarus, the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Israel as the republics examined. The selected countries have been chosen because of their diversity to bring the reader a better overview and a look at the diversity of monarchist and republican forms of states. We focus exclusively on institutes characteristic of monarchies and republics and the history of those countries and other geographical facts have not been the subject of our investigation. The aim of the work was to compare and analyze individual forms of establishment with each other and subsequently individual forms of states among themselves. In the conclusion of the thesis, we tried to clarify the benefits and shortcomings of each model, while independently trying to determine projections for selected countries. We consider the topic of our work to be important, as in the contemporary world political systems are constantly evolving and globalization unites people and cultures, thus understanding the differences between these two forms of state arrangement is extremely crucial. We believe that further in-depth analyses of political regimes will be helpful in shaping political strategies and improving democratic institutions. At the same time, we will add that it is an opportunity for critical self-reflection on current political trends. For this reason, our topic is not only relevant, but also essential for constructive dialogue and building democratic stability in the world.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá komparatívnou analýzou monarchistických a republikánskych foriem štátov. V práci je predstavený súbor rôznorodých monarchií, zahŕňajúc Spojené kráľovstvo Veľkej Británie a Severného Írska, Marocké kráľovstvo, Vatikánsky mestský štát a Saudskoarabské kráľovstvo. Ako skúmané republiky sme zaradili Bieloruskú republiku, Nemeckú spolkovú republiku a Izraelský štát. Vybrané krajiny boli zvolené z dôvodu ich diverzity, aby sme priniesli čitateľovi lepší prehľad a pohľad na rozmanitosť monarchistických a republikánskych foriem štátov. Zamerali sme sa výhradne na inštitúty charakteristické pre monarchie a republiky, pričom história daných krajín a iné geografické fakty neboli predmetom nášho skúmania. Cieľom práce bolo porovnať a analyzovať jednotlivé formy štátov navzájom a následne jednotlivé formy vlády medzi sebou. V závere práce sme sa snažili objasniť prínosy a nedostatky každého modelu a zároveň sa nezávisle snažili určiť prognózy pre vybrané krajiny. Tému našej práce považujeme za dôležitú, keďže v súčasnom svete politické systémy neustále evolujú a globalizácia spája národy a kultúry, pochopenie rozdielov medzi týmito dvomi formami štátneho usporiadania je mimoriadne kľúčové. Veríme, že ďalšie hĺbkové analýzy politických režimov budú nápomocné pri formovaní politických stratégií a zlepšovaní demokratických inštitúcií. Zároveň dodáme, že je to príležitosť pre kritickú sebareflexiu nad súčasnými politickými trendami. Z tohto titulu je naša téma nielen relevantná, ale aj nevyhnutná pre konštruktívny dialóg a budovanie demokratickej stability vo svete
