Abstract:
This thesis undertakes to analyze the “Ithaca” chapter from James Joyce’s Ulysses through the philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari, especially through concepts out-lined in their seminal works Anti-Oedipus and A Thousand Plateaus. It attempts to demonstrate how their anti-psychiatrist, or schizoanalytic stance is pertinent in the analysis of works dubbed experimental in their time, such as Ulysses. It …more
