Town development after the closure of the dominant employer in the example of Adamov

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu rozvoje města po ukončení činnosti dominantního zaměstnavatele na příkladu města Adamov, ve kterém ukončila činnost významná společnost Adamovské strojírny. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké jsou současné možnosti rozvoje města a jakým způsobem zánik společnosti ovlivnil socioekonomický vývoj města Adamov. Na začátku výzkumu je provedena analýza dat, pomocí které jsou porovnána vybraná města v zázemí Brna s Adamovem. Další část práce tvoří sedm semi-strukturovaných rozhovorů s klíčovými aktéry města Adamov. Na základě rozhovorů a zjištěných statistických ukazatelů je proveden rozbor aktuálních problémů, překážek, a identifikace současných možností dalšího rozvoje města. Dále jsou v práci zjištěny dopady ukončení dominantní společnosti na socioekonomický vývoj města Adamov. Klíčovým faktorem pro rozvoj Adamova po zániku společnosti je rychlá dostupnost do Brna pomocí železnice.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of the town after the end of the dominant employer on the example of the town of Adamov, in which the significant company Adamovské strojírny ended. The aim of the thesis is to find out what are the current possibilities of town development and how the extinction of society influenced the socio-economic development of Adamov. At the beginning of the research, a data analysis is carried out, which compares the selected cities in the background of Brno with Adamov. Another part of the thesis consists of seven semi-structured interviews with key actors of Adamov. On the basis of the interviews and the established statistical indicators, an analysis of the current problems, obstacles and identification of the current possibilities of further development of the city. Further, the results of the termination of the dominant society on the socio-economic development of the town of Adamov are identified. A key factor in the development of Adam after the company's disappearance is the quick access to Brno by railway.
