Important physical experiments of physics - electricity and magnetism

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce: „Významné historické fyzikální experimenty” předkládá přehled a životopisy významných vědců, kteří učinili nezanedbatelné kroky v oblasti elektřiny a magnetismu. Jedná se o ucelený pohled na vývoj určité oblasti fyziky na pozadí historického vývoje. Počátky elektřiny a magnetismu sahají jako u většiny jiných věd do Antického Řecka. Nezávisle na nich však byly projevy magnetismu pozorovány a využívány již dříve v Číně. Po antických vědcích se tímto tématem zabývali většinou angličtí a francouzští dobře situovaní pánové. Jeden inspiroval druhého a všichni společně vytvořili platná pravidla, kterými se dnes v elektřině a magnetismu řídíme. Dále jsou zde výsledky vlastních měření dříve uvedených pokusů. Na konec byl zařazen a vyhodnocen dotazník, zjišťující stav pomůcek a pokusů na dané téma na konkrétních základních školách.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „Important historical experiments of physics - electricity and magnetism” gives listing of important scientists and their curiculum vitaes, who made significant steps in electricity and magnetism. It is beeing a complete overlooking on a science field with historical background. Electricity and magnetism have its basics in Antic Greece, as well as many other sciences. In China, they found magnetism independently and even earlier than in Greece, but we follow Greek model in Europe. In the Middle Ages, there were mostly English and French welthy men, who were working in physics. They inspired each other and than, they made a set of rules, that we do follow in electricity and magnetism today. Further, there are results from my own measurements included. Finally, there is a questionnaire about the level of making experiments on elementary schools in Czech republic.
