Content and Structural Analysis of the Civics Textbooks Published by "Fraus" and "Fortuna" for the 6th and 7th Grade of the Elementary School

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vybranými učebnicemi občanské výchovy pro 6. a 7. ročník základní školy z hlediska jejich: didaktické vybavenosti, míry obtížnosti výkladového textu a obsahové správnosti. Cílem této práce je analyzovat vybrané učebnice za účelem ověření jejich kvality, a tím poukázat na vhodnost těchto materiálů ve výuce občanské výchovy. Jako teoretického základu bylo využito prací Jana Průchy, jakožto jediného odborníka, jež se v našich podmínkách analýzou učebnic zabýval. Jednotlivé výsledky byly zaznamenávány do tabulek a grafů pro lepší přehlednost zkoumaného problému. V závěru práce jsou k dispozici pracovní listy, vycházející z obsahové analýzy a sloužící jako náhrada absenčních témat v námi analyzovaných učebnicích. Výsledky šetření mohou sloužit jako vodítko ve výběru učebnic, a to nejen učitelům, žákům, ale i široké veřejnosti.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with civics textbooks for the 6th and 7th grade of elementary school. The study was aimed at exploring the degree of didactic equipment, complex text difficulty and content correctness of the civics textbooks. The aim is to analyse chosen textbooks in order to prove its quality and show if those materials can be used during the civics classes. Jan Průcha's writings were used as a theoretical background for our thesis, because he was the only one who was interested in this issue. The results are recorded in the charts and tables for better understanding of the issue. In addition, there are also worksheets at the end of the thesis. They were made as a compensation for the missing parts of the content in the analysed parts of the textbooks. The final results can help teachers, pupils and general public with their choice of the textbook.
