Characteristics of spectators violence and security at football stadiums not only in the Czech republic

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci bude řešena problematika diváckého násilí na stadionech a tato práce bude lehce navazovat na mou práci bakalářskou. Tentokrát je ale pojata trošku jinou formou než práce předešlá, jelikož se mnohem více věnuje teorii. Nejprve se tato práce zabývá problematikou davu, která je pro fenomén diváckého násilí velmi podstatným základem. Dále jsou uvedeny jednotlivé katastrofy, které se v minulosti na stadionech a jejich okolí odehrály a poté zde můžeme nalézt kompletní rozbor problematiky rasismu včetně fotbalového utkání mezi Rangers FC a Slavií Praha v rámci osmifinále Evropské ligy. V neposlední řadě práce obsahuje přiblížení stylu života chuligánů, kde jsou později vyčteny konkrétní chuligánské skupiny v České republice v návaznosti na vybrané kluby. Praktická část se věnuje problematice rozdílnosti chápání rasismu mezi Českou republikou a ostrovními státy a nakonec jsou konkrétně rozebrány a okomentovány všechny trestné činy a přestupky páchané na fotbalových stadionech i mimo ně, vývoj trestné činnosti s extremistickým podtextem na našem území, pořádání akcí extremistickými hnutími a jejich rozdělení mezi hnutí pravicově a levicově extremistické a nakonec propojení mezi počtem trestně stíhaných osob za trestnou činnost spojenou s extremismem a počtem odsouzených osob za tyto činy.

Abstract:

This Master’s thesis will address the topic of spectator violence in stadiums and will be a minor follow-up to the author’s Bachelor’s thesis. This time, however, it is conceived in a slightly different form than the previous paper, as it focuses much more on theory. It initially deals with the topic of the crowd, which is a very important basis for the phenomenon of spectator violence. The individual disasters that have occurred in and around stadiums in the past are listed next, followed by a full analysis of the issue of racism, including the football match between Rangers FC and Slavia Praha in the Europa League eight-final. Last but not least, the thesis contains an introduction to the lifestyle of hooligans, where specific hooligan groups in the Czech Republic are later identified in relation to selected clubs. The practical part is devoted to the differences in the understanding of racism in the Czech Republic and in island states, and finally all crimes and offences committed at football stadiums and outside of them, the development of extremist crime in our territory, the organisation of extremist movements and their division between the right-wing and left-wing extremist movements and, finally, the link between the number of people prosecuted for extremism-related crime and the number of people convicted of these acts.
