Diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou jaký význam mají technické památky v cestovním ruchu a jak se dá zvýšit jejich atraktivnost pro návštěvníky. První část práce je věnována pojmům, které se vyskytují v této oblasti. Jde o pojmy doprava, marketing, muzeum a technická památka. Druhá část obsahuje informace o Chartě industriálního dědictví.
